ABE have very few fit players and it was not easy for him to field a team, coupled with the suspensions he suffered it was hard for him to compete.
I fielded a weakened team, but should have made conditionals when I was 3 goals up to change the tactic to stall.
It was my error not ABE that led to the blow out.

You should contact ABE boss and have him post here any appeal.
On what basis ABE could feel hard done to, I am not really sure! :-)
I do not think blowout rule is there to mop up any team tactical errors.
Perhaps a Committee of managers could be appointed to settle these 'appeals' as most rival managers would not like a rival team get 120k back undeserved.
Alo Boss- 06-28-2006
The only reason ABE had very few fit players was thanks to his well publicised EL strategy. As for suspensions everybody has to deal with those so its not even an issue. The fact that four suspended players were even listed only adds to the argument that the lineup was not carefully put together and perhaps deserved to be blown out. How you can ever expect another manager to go easy on you for whatever reason is beyond me.
I for one am glad to see that ABE are keeping a dignified silence over the whole thing, as i'm sure he will admit his own error on this occasion.
Besides, what happened to "entertaining the fans" and "giving them what they deserve at Firhill", going soft in your old age Brian?

Good points, well made, by ALO jury above.
PT take credit for sportsmanship by posting appeal, but its too little too late.
Brian was thinking of the paying punter as he fired in goal after goal after goal. What ABE was thinking trying to list FOUR suspended players in starting 11 is anyones guess. If he had done that last season with 12 man rule software bug, he'd have been hit with far more than 120k blowout fine.
The blowout is just a bit more than average gate receipts, so I think its not that big a deal actually.

We really appreciate Brian's sporting gesture in appealing against the blowout. However listing 4 suspended players really is an indefensible display of carelessness (no doubt as a result of being in too much of a rush). We should obviously have listed a valid lineup and played Stall, therefore we accept the penalty.
An embarrasing end to an inglorious season but at least we've dodged the drop.

ALO, I gave the Firhall faithful what they deserve the league title and promotion. But humilating weak sides is not part of the bargain.
But Ross doesn't want to appeal, so thats fair. I said I would post something and I have.
