The "saga" will end this week - if no deal is ironed out an apprentice GK will be signed to STE
(for what its worth i have trained an age 0 player from the auction this season too)

GMcD is spot on with his guess about apprentice numbers this season compared to last. Almost DOUBLE the amount of apprentices have been bought this season.
31 compared to 58 now, and still over a month until seasons end.

Barring any other external influence like the influx of freeby players of the past, I'd expect that the acquisition of Age0 apprentices will swing from season to season, reaching a balancing point (+/- 5).
I'd expect it to be a little like a dampened sine wave. UP, DOWN, UP slightly less, DOWN slightly less, UP even less, down even less, until it jsut wobbles around a normal season set of purchases.
So next season I'd expect something of the order of 40.
With there being so many age0 players I've been gobsmacked at the prices TP have been selling for. And next season I hope it continues, though I expect that TP will regain some of its value what with the large number of Age1 players and the coming seasons influx of Age0.

SM were a big part of last years big increase in apprentices weren't they? There also seemed to be surfeit of TP last year compared to the prior season or this season.
