David Beckham has admitted deliberately getting booked against Wales in order to get his suspension out of the way

Is Becks clever or a cheat ? SESL/tongueout.gif

Forget clever or cheat, I say he's pathetic. How are we to know if that's the truth anyway? He claims he did it deliberately, but maybe he's just saying that now so that the fans and media don't judge him.

If Beckham wanted to get booked, he could have done so many things
e.g. refuse to move away from a free-kick, kick the ball away after the whistle, or lift his shirt over his head.

But Beckham chose to tackle another player SESL/awhack.gif
in a way that could have caused injury, for purely selfish reasons. SESL/abigcry.gif

.... and not very Captain-like, Mr Beckham! SESL/awall.gif

How thick is this bloke!!

He says this is him showing how clever he is in that he deliberately got booked to miss the next game - in the meantime endangering himself of being banned for 3 or 4 games by FIFA for bringing the game into disrepute - what a twat!!! SESL/tongueout.gif

Doubt FIFA will ban Beckham for 3 or 4 games.

Although their spokesman, Sepp Blatter, is never slow to air his opinion.

What does this guy do other than condemn people?

Seems Sepp Blatter eats, sleeps and talks mince. End of.
Reckon he eats quite a lot of mince actually! SESL/Moonie.gif

Found this old thread.

So THAT booking back in 2004 maybe cost him his 100 caps!

While its grim being stuck on 99 England international caps,
he only has himself to blame.

England coach Fabio Capello says David Beckham is in contention to earn his 100th cap in the friendly against France in Paris on 26 March, 2008.

Midfielder Beckham, 32, has 99 caps and Capello will have the former captain watched playing for Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Major League Soccer season begins on 29 March but LA Galaxy play FC Dallas in a pre-season charity game on 15 March and Capello added that he or a member of his coaching team will be at that match to see Beckham play.

I don't think you can really say that. If he hadn't engineered the outcome then, he may have been out of a game anyway and that game would have been more important to him.

So yes it is possible he might have got 100 caps, but its also possible he would still have been on 99 anyway.
