The feeling is that the 1st round draw for the Cecil Cup, instead of it being "fixed" to the extent it depended upon your final positions in your division as to who your opponent was, would be conducted online as a Random draw between all 16 2nd division and all 16 3rd division teams.

This draw would be conducted by the terrible threesome again (Steve, Dave, and myself) with the 2nd round draw (which brings in the 1st division teams) going online at a date possibly between the 1st and 2nd legs so the interest is there for all 48 teams on the one evening.

Any thoughts??

Yes, with the 2nd one right between the 2 leg 1st round games. Neither would take a long time, and hopefully will maintain interest for all the teams. Sunday evening (dates to be fixed once schedule is known).

Yes, alot of people have asked for random CECIL cup draw, so fair enough.
This will kick in as a new rule January 2008.

The current set up meant the playoff matches were repeated in 1st round of CECIL cup, so not ideal.

I am working out schedule just now (with help from Steve T of DEV)
and will post full season schedule later this week on forum.
