Man of the Match awards include cup games. Unless someone wants to go through every game this will always be so - unless this award is scrapped.

Some teams get huge rewards from Season end awards
Dev 1600
Ran 1050
GM 750
Inv 550
EF 500

with 18 teams not even ending the season with what Dev earned here !!
surelu these rewards are way too high

I agree Peter but they have been in the rules since July and only recently brought up. And I'm not sure any team has won more than 2 before.

There has been talk of reducing these, maybe having 2 or 3 for each category (200k, 100k, 50k or 3,2,1 CP maybe).

It's not that the total rewards are too high. It's just the way they are awarded that needs tweaked a little.
There is a quite lengthy thread from earlier (June) this year that discusses it in more detail.
Get on over there and have a look. It's really quite informative.
I would link to it, but I haven't the slightest idea how to.

Hey, I'm a Luddite. What can I say?

OliSigurjonsson- 12-02-2007
Is the Man of the Match award only for league play ???

David HAM King- 12-02-2007
No. It's for all games.

The monetary awards are too high.

These end of season awards WILL change for future seasons.

Have new award plans been outlined anywhere on this forum yet?

David HAM King- 12-09-2007
Not yet. But I'm going to post some ideas later on tonight. Just in, and I need some coffee.

Stranraer- 12-12-2007
Maybe ditch "Best Offensive Team" & "Best Defensive Team"
as they will more likely go to the top teams once again.

Up the wee teams and let them win an award occassionally!

I like the idea of a 'worst shooter' as a donkey type token low award,
for fun.
