I think the top 5 in English Premiership 2006/07 could be:-
1. Chelsea
2. Liverpool
3. Man Utd
4. Spurs
5. Arsenal
Meanwhile Aston Villa are favourites for the drop. Their new boss may be Alan Curbishly who I am not a fan off. Martin O'Neil would be a better choice for Villa.
Chairman Doug Ellis is problem at the Villa. No decent managers will risk going to Villa until Ellis stands down I think.
As for Premiership, only a fool would try predict who will finish 2nd after Chelsea.
So I (the fool) will predict Liverpool.
Would like to see Newcastle in top 5 too. They need a top striker as Michael Owen is near enough finished (only about 27 years old, what a waste)
You're taking the mick thinking Arsenal will finish 5th?
Season rebuilding and they made the Champions League final and finished strongly towards the end of the season.
Even with no other signings other than the gem they've already signed they will be a stronger side than Liverpool never mind Spurs.
Liverpool can't score in a brothel.
I think Spurs will do well this year, some good signings, and may well break into the top 4 this time.
I can see Man Utd slipping out of the top 4, Arsenal and Liverpool will be 2nd or 3rd not sure which order.
Chelsea will steamroller the title again.

This Arsenal GEM is so precise you can't remember his name?
No wonder, he only played ONE MATCH at world cup and then was very very average.
If Liverppol sign Dutch forward Kuyt then him and Bellamy could be explosive up front.

I'd have Arsenal to finish no higher than 3rd.
Their new stadium pitch is much larger - could this ruin Arsenal's brilliant home form? Opposition teams never liked Highburys small pitch.
Decent GK, I'll give Arsenal that.
DF - Senderos out for three months, Cygan poor, Campbell leaving, and Ashley Cole likely to leave (or be tired out with new pop star wife)
Only Toure is decent DF left?
MF - Gilberto is good, but all other decent MF are all very attack minded - Rosicky, Fabregas, Ljunberg, Reyes, Hleb. Is midfield balanced?
FW - Henry is a class act still. Robin van Persie can play, as can Adebayor I suppose. Aliadiere is often injured, while no one is really sure if Theo Walcott can play or not!
Mind you, I'd rather have Arsenals squad than Man Utd currently!
Liverpool and Spurs will have great Premiership seasons.

You're too embarrassed to list your top 5 finish?
Come on Mr Negative - respond to the thread posted.

The challenge of turning Villa around would be right up Martin O'Neill street.
John McCririck on TalkSport this morning says you can get betting odds 7/4 on Spurs to be best place team if you remove the top 4.
This seems remarkable value given the squad Spurs have assembled.
They have more money to spend today after Carrick's comedy 16M transfer fee.
I told you Corals had that bet at 2/1 when we were in there on Friday.
It's a good one alright...

I prefer to take betting tips from BIG MAC McCririck,
rather than yourself Gabby.
Afterall, you wanted to bet on Kenny Miller scoring a barrowload of goals in SPL this season.
That is a WHOPPER!
Chelsea
Arsenal
Man U
Liverpool
Can't name a 5th team, Spurs, Newcastle are options.
Rosicky played all 3 Czech games, and scored twice against the states, which the World Champions didn't do.
Arsenal may struggle early on with Senderos out and Campbell washed up and out, but their squad will score goals and outscore teams and playing on the bigger pitch will help Arsenal, in recent years they have struggled to break teams down at Highbury as they sat back on the narrow pitch.
This early defensive issues is the reason I would not bet on Arsenal to win the title.

Here is another to ignore at your peril.
John Harston to finish top scorer in the Championship, 16/1 with WHills.
All I care about is that the mighty BLADES stay up this season!!!!!....on a betting note Tottenham with a Hc of +24 (Scratch = Chelski) @ 15/1 is good value even with Carrick departing if you ask me (ladbrokes).
