Anyone fancy a lower league Football Manager challenge?

Maybe a Scottish Div 3 team like East Stirling to bring through the divisions,
or even an English Conference team?

The Big Ron Manager Challenge?

Peterborough?

Or possibly the West Country Challenge....

Exeter (non-league), Swindon (D2) or Bristol Rovers (D2)

I think the Big Ron Challenge would be at least topical considering the recent Sky TV show....

GMcD.

Not a fan of big Ron, sorry.

Not a fan of Paul Ince either, but what better way to p!ss Ince off by taking over his job in FM!
Macclesfield Town - next to bottom of lowest division in England.
Now THAT is a FM challenge. Game on? SESL/clap.gif

Yeah i think we have to make this challenge as hard as we can to seperate the men from the boys. Macclesfield Town it is, this will definatly be a long-haul challenge so be prepared!!

Every manager taking up the challenge let us al know on here, and go for updates on how you are getting on every 6 months gametime.....say start of january transfer window and end of season!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Lets play FM

Macclesfield Town challenge - count me in.

Hoe boy!
Macclesfield Town are in quite a poor state. Going to be restricted to loan signings until some funds can be found.
Going to ask the Macclesfield Town players to pray for a 'sugar daddy' to invest some cash!

Bought the game and am now installing it. Haven't played any FM sim in a few years, so I doubt i'd set anyone alight in this challenge. Good luck to all though.

FourFourTwo football magazine in UK has a big feature on Macclesfield Town - and their rise thru the Conferences to League Two.

I have played a few months on FM and going OK so far.

Signed Denis Wise as a player/coach, and Glynn Hurst FW.

Team:
1. Lee
2. Regan
3. McIntyre
4. Scott
5. Swailes
6. Wise
7. Bulloch
8. Navarro
9. Hurst
10. Tipton
11. Miles

anyone else struggling to keep the maccesfield players on the park??! had 10+ players sent off and its only january!

Really struggling aswell, rise to challenge against big boys of divison but struggle against everyone else. Just signed Danny Dichio and hes banging the goals in so hopefully a mini revival is about to happen!

P R O M O T E D ! Yeah!

Macclesfield Town is a tough one, and I agree with Richard NAI this will definatly be a long-haul challenge.

I signed two Internationalists and hope to sell them on at 10 times the outlay. ;-)
I brought these 2 guys in from San Marino (both named Nanni) one a defender and one an attacking midfielder for 40k and 50k.
I am now getting bids of 350K and hope to get them up to 500K then sell on, and reinvest in squad.

What I do is offer the players to clubs for ZERO. Then if 2 or 3 teams bite, I then start pushing the price up in negotiations and see how far I can push them. Ofcourse, if you go too high they walk away and you lose their interest completely. Cat and mouse game really.

Season 2 kicks off tonight on my PC!

Got Macclesfield promoted.

while the boy "Miles" is miles ahead of anyone else up front, I need a striker or two for the campaign ahead. Put in a cheeky bid to convince Tore Andre Flo back to English football - time will tell if he comes.

I struggled with Macclesfield.

ANyone want to suggest a fresh FM challenge for next couple of months ?
