End of season 4: finished 3rd in serie A.

This is as high as I am going to get, as a good 20 points behind Milan in 2nd, and a 25 points behind Inter who are uncatchable.

So............ for season 5, I am going to use ONLY player UNDER 25 years old!

As it seems the vogue to now have 2 jobs in this challenge, I applied for the Italy manager's job which became vacant pre S4.

Got the job, and currently playing the World U-23 Championships....

Combines role as Italy manager with scouting for my Palermo team!

BTW, the Stenny manager is an arse isn't he?

Anyhows, I have resigned from Palermo! I was 10th in December as my "give youth a chance" idea flopped! I qualified, as ever, in 2nd palce in Champions League group so happy to leave them with Euro football to look forward to in the new year.

I accepted Serie A bottom dogs Cagliari who were sitting with just 3 points from half a season!

I drew first 2 games 0-0 packing the defence, then won next 2. They had that F Guarin bloke in their reserves! Signing a few older players in January, including Lozenzo Amoruso, but have lost 5 in a row in January currently.

As I am effectively out of the Palermo challenge now, I will plod on another week until someone comes up with a Jan/Feb FM challenge to start.

hey you guys get really busy on this thread huh!!

Just finished season 3 in time to start the new challenge what ever that may turn out to be.

Managed to have a great season pulling off a remarkable treble!! thats right, the Italian Cup beating Roma in the Final, Serie A from Inter on head to head record after finishing on the same points, and also the Champions league title headed to Palermo with a win in the final over Chelski on pens. I did take some screen shots as i thought it sounded hard to believe but i dont appear to be able to post them on here anybody got any idea how i post screen shots properly?

As i posted before i bought Sivok, Iniesta and Ochoa at the start of the season. January came and Milan showed interest in Barzagli and enquired about him, tryign to put them off i asked for £20m which surprisingly they then offered so with the £ in my eyes of he went.

Enjoyed this challenge, wont carry on with it as it looks like we will be moving to another team within a couple of days.
