What a carry on that F1 race in USA then?

For safety reasons, 7 out of 10 teams pulled out after warm-up parade lap.
Race was then a 6 car procession.

That was NOT a race.

That was a farce. SESL/athumbsdown.gif

It was a great race - made it so easy to spot the cars for once!
Nice of M Schumacher to still try and kill someone though!
The ITV commentators were a wee bit hysterical though, the guy was almost in tears and kept trying to hype it into the worst ever disaster in sports EVER!!!!

I had forgotten that Brundle has his "wanders" round the pit lane to find as many folk as possible to try ignore him.

FIA = Total Twats. All of the michelin teams wanted to race, even if it meant that they didn't race for points. We heard David Coulthard say on the radio on the formation lap, "I know there's an agreement, but if I have the choice I want to race." Looking at papers this morning it seems that FIA are charging the seven teams for bringing the sport into disrepute. The teams haven't done anything wrong, it's michelin's fault, charge them. Michelin brought the wrong tires, and they told the teams not to race because they cannot guarantee the safety of the drivers. The teams involved had done nothing wrong whatsoever.

And what's with Ferrari's "We'll disagree with everyone else" attitude!? If they weren't so stubborn then we would have found a way around it, not could. In this situation I think they're right (for once! shock horror!) because they shouldn't be compromised due to Michelin's cock-up. But there has been a few issues where Ferrari refused to agree with all of the other 9 teams, and they haven't given any reasonable excuse for dismissing it!

I love having a moan about the Formula one SESL/sunshine.gif

My Ferrari skip hat has been binned in disgust.

I was just starting to get interested in F1 again after a dull few years, but now I am totally fed up with it. Hope USA tell F1 were to stick their race now!

Nillis- 06-21-2005
I'm still going to follow it, even it repeats in Magny Cours! I think it's still worth watching, as long as we can get full grids for the remainder of the season it will be a very exciting championship. Much better than recent years of Ferrari domination. Ferrari are in the middle of the pack much more often now, and its always competitive right up the front, so there is plenty reasons to still follow it SESL/goodluckicon.gif

Ferrari domination of F1 thankfully in the past, I hope.

The can stick their red flags where the sun don't shine!

So David Coulthard said:-

Well why didn't he then??? SESL/awhack.gif
All he had to do was slow down at that tight corner and his dodgy tyres would have been fine.
Guaranted to finsh at least 7th also, as only 6 cars raced. SESL/awall.gif

Because he didn't have the choice SESL/tongueout.gif
As far as I know the Team Principals agreed in accordance with Michelin not to race. If it was upto the drivers and the drivers only, then i'm sure we would have seen all 20 cars out there racing, even if it was just for fun.

I guess the USA F1 race is off the calendar this year then !!??
