Has scored some amount of goals in the Scottish lower divisions over the past 2 seasons, and in last season's Scottish Cup run against higher level teams? I see he scored 11 goals in a friendly last night -

Do you think he is worth a bigger team taking a gamble on, perhaps not the Old Firm, Rangers have got loads of quality up front, and Celtic couldn't afford him, but Hearts or Hibs perhaps?

He works as a Doctor, so how do you suggest he juggles that job with playing for a big club?
Hibs or Hearts not going to give him several days off every week, now are they?

It appears the goalfest came against (gulp) Threave Rovers! rolleyes.gif

Now Gaberelli has a name sounding like he is from South America SESL/header.gif
so I can excuse his apparent ignorance of real life Scottish football,
but teams like Theave Rovers are dumplings.

To suggest a lower league player signs for a team like Hearts is frankly preposterous.

To be fair, the question was whether it was worth a gamble buying a lower league striker. In FM you may gamble, but not in real life football.

Gaberelli may sound like a girl, but generally he knows his football. Especially fantasy football where he picked up several gems from team Lyon.

He/she may note in today's newspaper Gerard Houllier, the Olympique Lyonnais manager, last night predicted Jeremy Clement can develop into the new Didier Deschamps.

Thanks Commish!

Although my limited football knowledge is put to shame by the all encompassing knowledge of our brilliant Commish.

Sometimes I think he knows even more than Archie MacPherson, and that takes some doing.

In 2 matches against lowly Derry City in uefa cup, Kenny Deuchar never managed to find the net.

I think his level is lower league.

Gretna- 03-03-2008
Kenny Deuchar has signed for MLS team Real Salt Lake.

He will be allowed to work as a private doctor as well, to top up his 9,000 GB pound a week salary in America!

Decent move for Deuchar, and nice work at those wages, if you can get it!

Some more info:-

He scored 72 goals in 95 starts for Gretna,
setting a series of records along the way, including the highest number of goals scored in a Second Division season with 41 netted in 24 appearances.

Real Salt Lake were founded in 2004 and play in the MLS Western Conference.

The Utah-based club have a 10-year co-operative agreement with Real Madrid, which includes a friendly match every two years in Salt Lake City and the development of a $25m youth academy partly funded by the Spanish giants.
