.. our England U21 striker Leroy Lita
but I don't expect him to be here after the summer to be honest

Reading boss Steve Coppell bought Leroy Lita from Bristol Rovers,
but I hear Premiership sidea after him now?

Is Leroy Lita that good ?

As for Hearts sacking their manager while at top of the SPL -
talk about shooting themselves in the foot! SESL/tongueout.gif

It is getting worse for Hearts after todays news

Hearts Chairman Foulkes has now resigned after chief executive Phil Anderton was sacked.
Their departures coming just 10 days after that of manager George Burley.

I'm trusting the "Bristol Rovers" bit was just a school boy error on your part!
It's Bristol CITY! SESL/awhack.gif

As for is he really that good, I'm not too sure, he scored on his U21 debut last season but hasn't had a look in since.
Started the season well for Reading but has been injured for a little while now.

Like Lee Miller, on the plus side for Lita is the fact that he's only 20 years old and he DOES know where the goal is, so he's still learning as such.

Seems Leroy Lita may well be "that good" as he scored the winner for Reading vs Middlesburgh yesterday in the Premiership.

Lee Miller is now back in Scotland and trying his luck at Dundee United. Not having a great time, and got a red card last week.

Kenny Miller, on current form, appears to be like a lower league striker.
Kenny Miller is now back in Scotland and trying his luck at Celtic. Not having a great time so far having failed to score in any of Celtic' many pre season friendlies, nor has he hit the net despite starting in all 4 SPL games so far.

I mentioned on English Premiership 06/07 thread (Posted: August 01, 2006 04:38 pm) that Gabberelli's betting bravado may be flawed and Kenny Miller may not score a "barrowload" in SPL this season.

Gabberelli also asked me to keep his email sent Thu 27/07/2006 16:07, that said:
"The only way Kenny Miller will not be top scorer is if he gets injured. Save this e-mail for your files.
Kris Boyd is a dumpling, he will concede more free kicks fouling goalies than he will score goals this season at Rangers.

Gabberelli used to know his stuff about football. Time will tell if these predictions come true.

Falkirk- 09-04-2006
People say don't judge Forwards by goals. WHY? That is what a striker is meant to do - put the ball in the net.

Compare:- so far at international level:-
Peter Crouch - 13 caps/10 goals
Wayne Rooney - 33 caps/11 goals
Kris Boyd - 3 caps/4 goals

Gabbarelli- 09-04-2006
You are right, and going by those records then Boyd is the best striker in the world. SESL/goodluckicon.gif

Hearts- 09-04-2006
You are right, and going by those records then Boyd is the best striker from those 3.

However, I would suggest the nations that Crouch and Boyd have scored against are of lesser standing than those that Rooney has netted against, so Wayne wins it for me.
