Does anyone have any news on the permanent transfer of Lee Miller from the mighty Bristol City.

Been hearing for weeks that Hearts are close to putting in a real offer but as of yet, £100k is taking the urine out of me.
Lee Miller is 21 years-old and has shown he can score against the clubs in the prem (apart from Celtic and Rangers).
It can't be too much longer before he gets a call up for the U21's le alone the full squad, not like there is a huge amount of talent queing up for the job, is it??

The figures I have heard mentioned are £100k offer from Hearts where-as City want closer to £400k.
Can't see Hearts offering that so it would then have to be a good deal involving clauses' and add-on's but surely the longer it takes to come up with a deal, the higher the fee will become as Hearts seem to really want him.

We'll have Lee Miller back down at City mind, he may have to sit on the bench for a while, behind our England U21 striker, Leroy Lita but I don't expect him to be here after the summer to be honest so there may be an opportunity for Miller to come in there although we do have a few other options up front as well. (just a shame we don't have a big centre half to stop the goals at the other end).

I rate Lee Miller. I have signed him a few times in FM05 game too. SESL/header.gif

Heard Hearts need pay an extra fee if Lee Miller helps them get a uefa cup spot this season. So maybe they feel they are shelling out enough in fees?

7 goals in 14 games I think. 250k would seem a fair price.

Different story's going about down here, apparently Hearts could have signed him for £75k in January but seeing as they wanted to "test before they buy" and Lee seems to have become a bit of hit north of the border, the goal posts have been moved to accommodate his success.

It has also been said about a deal being made up of clauses i.e: UEFA qualification, international caps, goals scored etc, at that rate, it could be years before we get our money SESL/jester.gif

Commish.

It has today emerged that Hearts have offered £175k for Lee Miller, who scored again at the weekend, this time against Celtic.

However, the £175,000 is some way off Bristol City's valuation and they have told Hearts that they will not budge on their valuation so they either match our valuation or Miller leaves in the summer and comes back to Bristol.

And as a further HOWEVER, it is now rumoured that a few other clubs are interested in Lee Miller and one of those is................ Your very own Glasgow Rangers!!

Now, if this doesn't make Hearts pull they're fingers out of their erse's, nothing will.

Let the bidding begin SESL/goodluckicon.gif

That's no surprise, they need somebody that can score against Celtic.....

Today's hype on Lee Miller is:-

Aberdeen bidding 400k for him

Walter Smith considering him for International call-up this week.

Aberdeen have been mentioned down here but no talk of what they are willing to pay.
Also 2 Championship teams from down here are supposed to be interested but no ideas as to who they are.

But with manager Robertson getting the boot from Hearts, I'm guessing they may have blown their chances.

It is shameful how John Robertson has been treated at Hearts. He was only manager for 7 months and did no wrong (bar kick another manager in a uefa cup game - anyone remember that!?)
He is a legend at that club and a fans backlash is inevitable.
As for Lee Miller, he is destined for a good career and Aberdeen would be a great move for him.

Well we're about to sign Marcus Stewart, so in the short term, losing Lee would be no major thing and as the strikers we kept for this season managed to bag 50 goals between them, it's not like he's going to get a game in League 1 with us SESL/slapfish.gif

I just hope we get a good enough deal to cover us in 3 or 4 years time.

Walter Smith listed Lee Miller for an International call-up today.

See he's made the full Scotland squad now as well then, that should put a couple of extra 100,000k on to the transfer fee

Hull City and Leicester City are the Championship sides that have apparently shown an interest in him but nothing in stane so far.

A Bristol City fan I work with swears he was crap for them - must have been the BCFC management as he seems to be a big star north of the border?

Playing for full Scotland squad could REDUCE 100,000k from Lee Miller's value!

George Burley's sudden departure from SPL leaders Hearts has prompted bookmakers to make him the favourite to be the next Republic of Ireland manager.
