Newspapers are reporting Luiz Felipe Scolari as the new England boss.
Suppose it makes sense to follow a foreign coach with another foreigner.
If he gets a 2 year deal, then by the next World Cup qualifiers there should be a good English coach ready to take on the role.
e.g. McLaren, Pearce.

Am I bothered?
Am I bothered?
Neither is Scolari by the looks of it!!!
Looks like Curbs, Big Sam or Stevo might get a chance afterall......as an Englishman I'd like to see an English manager in charge......O'Neil it is then!!
My pick?
Martin O Neill for 2 years.
Then whoever emerges as a consistantly good English boss can takeover then.
Too early for McLaren or Pearce in my opinion.
Sir Awex Ferguson is SCOTTISH!
Would never ever happen.
Martin O Neill seems a sensible option as I doubt he would get much glory if he goes to Sunderland, per rumours.
I never saw him as a great manager, he just had the best players in the world to work with.
Hasn't brittain got any managers who are better ?

You talking about Phil Scolari rather than Martin O Neil, meegod?
I agree. Most SESL managers could possibily wint he world cup if we had all those Brazian players at our disposal.
You are from Netherlands are you not, FRA boss? What do you think of Guus Hiddink?
What are Ruud Hullit and Johan Cruyff doing with themselves these days?
Yes, I was talking about Scolari. I think McClaren is a better choice. He knows English football better and will be a lot better at communicating.
Guus Hiddink is one of the best managers our country ever had. (but I'm prejudiced since he coached my favourite team PSV Eindhoven for most of his career). He has achieved great results, especially when he was in an underdog position. Would have been a great option for England coach, but decided to go to Ru$$ia instead.
Ruud Gullit isn't training a club at the moment. Last year he coached Feyenoord, one of the biggest clubs in the country. He promised them the title, but did some strange transfers during the winter period and got fired at the end of the season because the team struggled to get European qualification. He is replaced by Erwin Koeman, who does well. Gullit is currently working as a tv pundit for Talpa, which is the commercial television stadion over here that broadcasts our national competition.
Johan Cruyff has retired as a football manager and lives in Barcelona. At big Champions-League matches he can be seen as on tv giving commentary.
