Finding this FM challenge quite tough actually. Hoping results pick up in the new year.

After seeing Etherington's cross for winning goal in the real-life Premiership playoff yesterday, I am determined to hold on to him (and Zamora) incase we get promoted.

Played a couple of seasons in the Prem now. Managed to do ok the first one and finished 14th. Then a great improvement the next season finally finishing 6th and getting a UEFA cup place (or euro cup as they call it)

Current Team:-

GK. Tim Howard
DR. Anton Ferdinand
DL. Vratislav Gresko
DC. Lucio
DC. Trainios Dellas
DMC. Christian Poulsen
MR. Andy Van Der Meyde
ML. Marek Jankulovski
MC. Mark Van Bommel/Freddy Adu
FC. James Beattie
FC. Bobby Zamora

WOAH!
6th place is coool. SESL/cool.gif
And with Tim Howard in goals too - quite an achievement!

Really slow on this challenge guys, but I am almost at end of Season 1, top of Championship by 7 points, with 5 games left to play - surely can only blow it now!

Top men have been loan signings = Artim Sekiri AM/F LC from WBA, and Jeremie Aliadiere from Arsenal - over 35 goals so far.

Apart from them a real Scottish feel to my Hammers side - current lineup is:-

GK Walker
DR McNaughton (Aberdeen)
DL Hammell (Motherwell)
DC McGuire (Aberdeen)
DC Diamond (Aberdeen)
DM Dially
ML Sekiri (WBA - loan)
MR Brown (Hibs)
MC Hartley (Hearts)
FC Aliadiere (Arsenal - loan)
FC Clarkson (Motherwell)

Artim Sekiri and Jeremie Aliadiere are CLASS A+

McQuire from Aberdeen is pants though......

TWO Motherwell players.
And you are winning the league?
You at the wind-up Mr Findlay?
Can't wait to see this line-up if let loose in the Premiership! SESL/wink.gif

I was not tempted into buying Scott McDonald anyway.... SESL/athumbsdown.gif

Hopefully can conclude first season over weekend and get PREM sorted, I think promotion only a point or so away, it is the title I want though! SESL/tongueout.gif

I understand you wanting to win the title,
as your Celtic players kept saying with a couple of games to go in the SPL recently,
"2nd in nowhere" SESL/wink.gif

That is true, 2nd place in the SPL for Celtic is nowhere, no argument from me on that one.

SeslDotNet- 06-12-2005
Artim Sakiri now available only as a coach in season 2 sadly.

Diomansy Kamara I would recommend though. AMFL
He is away on international duty alot, but can win you games single handedly.

I am sitting 15th in PREM, so should stay up OK at least.

Gabbarelli- 06-12-2005
Title was clinched 3 games from time, bring on the Premiership.

As mentioned by others, miserly £600k budget, however after getting £14m TV money, on 1st August they increased budget, by a whopping £1m... SESL/athumbsdown.gif

So -free transfers are us - brough it were:-

Edwin Van der Sar
Cesare Bovo
Alessandro Pistone
Igor Biscan
Sunday Oliseh
Thomas Gravesen
Javi Guerrero
Elber

Not bad for no cash outlay!

Albion Rovers- 06-12-2005
My Board are unhappy with me (they want premiership MID-table!)

and the fans have started a pressure group to have me removed.

I am at start of season 3. Got 8M to spend, then another 6M just a week before transfer window closed after a 'finance restructure' at the club, apparently.

My best deal was Ledley King (D/DMC) from Spurs who had fallen out with boss. His signing boosted shirt sales, apparently.

Liverpool approached me to exchange Baros for Harewood which I happily swapped. Baros worth 9M ar Liverpool, apparently.

The problem GK position was not helped with Paul Robinson averaging 6.14 in over 30 games. Ronald Waterreus now in on a 1 year deal as main GK.

Paolo Terminiello (AML) from Juve came on a free and is a regular ITA U-21 star.

Elber (SC) signed but fans furious at this short term signing.

Aruna (FC) signed from Anderlecht has hit 5 goals in 3 pre-season games, so signs are great.

and my 6M cash injection went on Robin van Persie (FLC) from Arsenal.

meanwhile, grumpy assisitant boss Peter Grant has yet to think any of my signings would be worthwhile!!

DundeeFC- 06-22-2005
Ledley King would be a great signing.
Sadly I need to still get out of Division 1 (Championship) before being able to attract any players.
This game is s-l-o-w.
