FORWARDS CAN'T HIT A BARN DOOR ???

Len Lear’s’ problems got even bigger today as a spokesman for the Motherwell Board failed to deny that the managers position was under threat.

“Although we are not at all happy with the team’s position in the league and current form, we will not be rushed into making any knee-jerk decisions” said the spokesman.

Motherwell are currently second bottom of Div 1 with only one win all season and recent form suggests little improvement.

The worst goal scoring record of all 48 SESL teams has to be the root of their trouble and something that should be resolved.

The Board spokesman added, “We have a great relationship with Len and do not want to put him under any more pressure than, what he know doubt feels he’s under already but we value our place in the Top Division very highly and will do anything we feel is justified to retain it.”

The CHAIRMAN added:
"We have provided ample resources (20CP) for 3 top class Forwards, and the facts appeal Len is not getting the best out of these players. 4 goals between them in 34 games they have played is not acceptable."

THE CHARIMANS dreaded vote of confidence could be issued shortly………………….

MOT Man- 10-26-2005
It should be noted that MOT has taken steps to remedy the situation. One deal has already been completed and another one is about to be completed.
Isn't amazing that when a team is having a poor run of things, the vultures start circling.

Indeed, lay off Motherwell.
Were they not winners of Olmec Cup on behalf of SESL last year?

Len will lead the 'Well back to better days soon.

FORWARDS CAN'T HIT A BARN DOOR ???

Well rumours are MOT have been searching out FW's (plural) before trade window closes for the season, so get your *money on a Motherwell revival this season.

* betting is not allowed in SESL ofcourse, so comment has not to be taken litterally!

MOT Man- 11-11-2005
I truly appreciate the support from many teams inthe SESL.
As you will see , In the next couple of weeks, MOT has taken steps to remedy the goal drought situation. You will see a changed team at MOT.

Thanks again to all teams that have come out and supported MOT during this little bit of a blip on MOT's radar.

Len - MOT

Get a win or two and your improved team morale will lead on to more points.

4-2-4 L may be your best option now Len.

Good luck. SESL/fingersXicon.gif

It's going to be hard to save Motherwell from here but I think it can be done if Len concentrates 100% on survival. Forget the cup and use those matches to rest key players Len.

MOT Man- 01-08-2006
Even though MOT will be heading to D-2 next season, we had a cracking good 2nd half of the season and are still in the cup play. We just left things a little too late. Thanks for the support most of you showed MOT.
Continued success to all of you next season.

Len L. - MOT

Tick Tock

Big Brother is watching, Len! SESL/wink.gif

Thanks for my first 3 points of the season Len, may have saved me from a visit from the Chairman!

Les- 04-02-2006
This weeks managerial performance will not be seen in a very good light...

- 2 defeats
- 1 NMR
- 1 team submission with only 10 men after selling a decent player and not giving his replacement ANY sort of run out
- Rooted firmly at the foot of the Division
- morale dropping like a stone
- Invalid Auction Bids
- Lack of team improvements (5th best T17 at start of season down to 11th now; 10th best T11 down to 14th!!!)

Schoolboy errors SESL/wink.gif can the Chairman continue to overlook such poor performance from his manager?

Maybe the Mothers will be looking for a new boss soon SESL/wink.gif or can Len turn it around before its too late (again)

MOT played with 10 men vs COW in match 6 also.

What is going on at this club? They are worst performers in whole of SESL, yet have a decent squad.

MOT seem very slow to improve players thru CP and TP.

If Len's time is up at MOT, then can I put hat in ring for vacancy?

Hearts- 04-03-2006
Give MOT this week as a 'right to reply' on forum to criticism, and then this weeks matches to turn things around.

If further lineup mistakes this week (listing 10 men would be unique,
if MOT had not done it TWICE) wub.gif
then Len is going to have to cut his teeth in a lower division.

MOT are the worst performing team in whole of SESL, so changes have to be made.

SeslDotNet- 04-04-2006
Len has asked for a discussion on team affairs, and to the way forward for Motherwell.

No further comment will be made at this time,
but no doubt the lippy club CHAIRMAN will advise of developments over the next few days.

Les- 04-04-2006
I just want to clarify something. I actually support Len. I think he CAN turn it around. He has demonstrated in the past what a darn good manager he is in this game!

He's actually an experienced manager. He won the interleague cup thingy a couple of seasons ago representing sesl - some 'newbies' may not be aware of that.

My comments were meant to be tongue in cheek to encourage Len into action - i was actually looking for him to bite to engender a bit of good natured banter between ourselves as "relegation strugglers" - especially as he will more than likely finish above my side at the end of the season anyway if he starts to fulfill some of the potential. I didn't expect him to be down at the bottom at the start of the season, I can't see any reason why he still can't turn it around in the next few weeks!

I hope Len hasn't taken offence - as it is starting to look a little bit like a witch hunt, but he does need to improve before its too late - which is what happened last season!

So COME ON LEN! Get your team going and shove it back in our faces! I'm sure you'll get out of the relegation dog-fight --- probably to be replaced by Arbroath OAP's rolleyes.gif
