Inverness- 02-07-2006
Here is a quick press release

INV announced today that they will be heading into the new season under the guidance of former DEV manager Tyron Barnard. The young South African has signed a deal that will keep him at INV until S18.

"This is a great oppurtunity for me and i look forward to trying to help INV win another title"

A big challenge lays ahead, but Barnard is sure he will survive.

In his three seasons at DEV he finished 16, 15 and now 11th.

He also had some good cup runs, especially in the CECIL cup.

Barnard leaves Dev with no hard feelings and will kindly keep in contact with the new manager

Cheers for now
Tyron

Good luck Tyron

I see you have inherited a team with only 3 players under the age of 3! rolleyes.gif
I'd guess INV best days are firmly behind them. wub.gif

Inverness should be there or thereabouts again this season, Tyron.

Only three players under age 3? Funny, I thought I left Inverness with 2, Martin O'Neill and Jim McKinstrey but with all the name changing in the team (Richard Hastings was a 6/10 DF and is now a 5/20 FW) it's hard to remember (and I'm at work so don't have access to my files).

INV have a SL 34 FW who has had just 4 shots all season!

Seems some decline going on at INV.

Hope Tyron can turn it around. Maybe previous boss Steve should have a word with him?

Seems Tyron Barnard is taking a month or two break, and INV have a new caretaker manager in.

Good luck Christer Kallin. Can you keep INV in Div 1 with just 8 league games to go?

christer- 06-03-2006
I will sure try and keep us in div 1. For the first two games in the league (today) and the cup (may 31) I had help with the orders but from then I am on my own.

We need to get to 12th to get a playoff chance. Its still possible. Even a 10th is reachable but then I can make no misstakes.

Its definetly a strong challange.

Just some info on the new caretaking manager.

My name is Christer Kallin, 37 year old swedish father of two. Living in Stockholm.

I have played pbem´s since "ages ago" and not too bad I think.
When looking through the managerlist I recognize a few names.

One of them I won over in the first match (Mike) allthough I didn´t do those orders.

Real life football team is Västerås SK currently in swedish third division (allthough called 1st div). I am actually just about to get to my car and drive to see them play now. Game starts in 2 hours.

As all swedes I also follow english football. There I support Aston Villa. But scottish football I dont follow that close. (I had never heard of Inverness before.) But after a quick websearch I now know thay play in Scottish premier so they must be good then. Or atleast like Leeds SESL/wink.gif (Thats for you Nathan)

I have managed in SESL before. It was ages ago before I got two kids. That made me limit my pbem-ing. Now my kids are 4 and 2 and they dont need constant care so I get a few hours to spend with my computer and paper and pencil do do orders.

Dunfermline- 06-03-2006
Welcome (back?) to SESL then Christer.

INV were champions of Div 1 last season under Steve Turner, I think.

They have declined this term, so you have taken on a tricky job.

Best of luck to you. You could do with someone like Sweden's Henrik Larsson in your INV team now!
