1. You are playing in a FREE league. Things WILL go wrong occasionally. If they do, GET OVER IT, move on...

2. The software MAY occasionally cause you to lose a game or two due to a new bug/problem. If it does...get over it. In real life referees make bad calls, teams lose games they should not...it happens.

3. The website WILL be down occasionally. Websites are hosted on a computer/connection that I pay for. Its free to you...it costs me money. I may need to use my connection for a whole day for my real job if I work from home (perhaps one Friday a month). Thus you should get your lineups in early.

4. Associated with #3, in particular from May-August, it seems like there is construction work that cuts a cable which causes my connection to be down for a day occasionally. It will happen, get your lineups in early.

5. Have fun, but be respectful of the time people put into the game to create your league, software, website. Its not a 5-minute job. Attempts WILL be made to fix key bugs.

6. Remember to occasionally (probably not necessary every day) thank your commissioner. He may be giving up personal things to create and run a fun league. Your mom taught you to say please and thank you. Its important to use those polite skills in this game.

7. I would recommend all managers use Firefox of Safari(Max) to better match what I am coding to (and can easily test). This is free to download.

Update: October 20th, 2007

As many of you know I get very annoyed when I see the foul language on my site for various reasons including:

1) People shouldn't be offended going to my site(s)...especially kids
2) Sometimes I put this stuff on my resume (CV) so...
...I don't want potential employers looking at it with an eye to that...

So...make sure you are NOT using foul language when posting on MSWL (or any of the Olmec sites including SESL).

If you need me to spell out the words I don't want to see...I will.

If you find anything offensive (sometimes I might or might not find it offensive too), send me an email with the info and I will review it and take it down as needed. If people aren't getting the point, they will be removed from the league.

I don't plan on bringing up this topic again this season, so please keep this in mind. I don't want to be wasting my time on this nonsense...

I mean there are an infinite number of ways I can make fun of managers without cursing or using foul language. :-)

Now, with all that said...NO ONE is currently on my radar or anything...this is just to let you know up front.

If you have ANY questions at all on this let me know.

Thanks,
Al Sellers
OLMEC server and software owner

With season 20 kicking off soon, a reminder to managers to submit your lineups early as web site may be offline sometimes, especially some Fridays.

Managers have all WEEK to submit lineups, so do NOT leave it late and risk a needless NMR.
No excuses! ;-) tongue.gif
