Here’s a general disclaimer from Olmec software creator Allan Sellers.1. You are playing in a FREE league. Things WILL go wrong occasionally. If they do, GET OVER IT, move on... 2. The software MAY occasionally cause you to lose a game or two due to a new bug/problem. If it does...get over it. In real life referees make bad calls, teams lose games they should not...it happens. 3. The website WILL be down occasionally. Websites are hosted on a computer/connection that I pay for. Its free to you...it costs me money. I may need to use my connection for a whole day for my real job if I work from home (perhaps one Friday a month). Thus you should get your lineups in early. 4. Associated with #3, in particular from May-August, it seems like there is construction work that cuts a cable which causes my connection to be down for a day occasionally. It will happen, get your lineups in early. 5. Have fun, but be respectful of the time people put into the game to create your league, software, website. Its not a 5-minute job. Attempts WILL be made to fix key bugs. 6. Remember to occasionally (probably not necessary every day) thank your commissioner. He may be giving up personal things to create and run a fun league. Your mom taught you to say please and thank you. Its important to use those polite skills in this game. 7. I would recommend all managers use Firefox of Safari(Max) to better match what I am coding to (and can easily test). This is free to download. (If you use Internet Explorer then the online web site may not look exactly like it is meant to.) Try Mozilla web browser - free download at http://www.mozilla.org |
