I'll happily donate to Olmec. Maybe the sacrifice will be heard and my luck increase SESL/awall.gif

However I don't want any special rewards for any participation over say the maximum 50k that Phil gives out. So for instance, helping to run a cup draw, for which I've received TP or CP in the past, should only take my participation bonus up to 50k for that month (or id it fortnight?).

I do the cup draws because I enjoy taking part in this league.

Al & Mark do an excellent job so this is a great idea, count me in. SESL/goodluckicon.gif

I agree with a donation etc for Mark and Al - if it becomes a payment that might go against Al's principle of having a free game[U] and I would not wish to upset Al with all the input he gives to the game.

Whether by Paypal or Visa I am comfortable.

On the subject of Rules and Suggestions and Appeals panel I note from the Rules page A1.1 people had responsibilities for various things like Player Value Co-Ordinator and Trade Dispute Reviewer.

Why not ask players if they wish to become part of any particular Board set up by yourself, and let the members vote for enough players to fill these positions? It's democratic and any work actually done in the season would be evaluated at the end by the Commish (and if he wishes) he could put forward minimum and maximum parameters for payments that the members could again vote on.

Only a thought!

Ive been prettyt slack at the participation side of things lately (hence i get to add my comment to this thread so late!!!

I would be more than happy with it also! ive managed 17 seasons at no cost which is absolutely amazing, so thanks from me. Get it up on the site!

I am suggesting donations of GBP10, EUR15 or USD 20 as a GUIDE.

ofcourse, managers can pay more or less, or none at all.

PAYPAL to <sesl at ukonline.co.uk> and we shall close it off in August 2007.

Great idea SESL/yay.gif

A wee token of our appreciation to the gods of Olmec

and an interest in a real life footballer of a real life team

I made my donation direct to Dumbarton by cheques, and they were more than happy to take 3 dozen GLASS ones off me !

Is SESL to sponsor another player with part of next season donations from January 2008 ?

SeslDotNet- 12-10-2007
Yes, the plan is to invite donations for SESL season 20.

I wish to take no money for running SESL, however Olmec software owner Allan Sellers does pay to host the SESL database on a server in USA at his own expense, so I think its fair SESL try meet some of those costs.

As an added interest, I shall try secure the sponsorship of a real-life player, although this may need to wait until the summer and a new season.

Alternatively, for £35, we can buy a stake in:
www.myfootballclub.co.uk

and could take it in turns pick the starting 11 of a real life lower league club in England
(currently Ebbsfleet)

I did it last time and again I have no problems in donating to Al for all his ongoing hard work.

Paypal suits me.

To be honest I think the jury is still out on this "buy into a real team" concept.

Not knocking it, but it would take more of my free time to take part, and that is getting shorter by the minute as it is.

I am happy to be part of this optional Pay To Play donation

10 pounds for a full season is great value and money to a good casue.

Whilst I don't have any problem with the Ebbsfleet thingy I personally think the donation/sponsorship should be as it is the minute; i.e. sponsorship of a promising player in the Scottish Leagues.

I think its excellent that we have a genuine link to the real game. I'm sure there is plenty of interest in following Andy Geggan's progression. I would have loved to have made the last get together to see him play - I'll certainly be making myself available when/if the next one is arranged.
