In one of the earlier "Championship Manager" type games I used to play, about 15 odd years ago, you could send your most severely injured players to a specialist.
I think at the time it was a place called
Lillieshall?, or something like that.
So it wasn't an instant fix, but as you suggest Robin, a shortened recovery time.
This also means that with a -98 EL player, you can remove the specialist treatment if you get a replacement from an auction or such like rather than simply shell out a fat bag'o'cash.
This would remove the problem of the Magic Sponge only applying to
RICH clubs,
I emphasive rich - as the richest club in SESL just now are still waiting on HEA and GRE to bank their 4Mil
The Magic Sponge is a great idea, but to make it a drip feed rather than a Lazarus style recovery is just what this feature needs to save it from the ridicule it currently attracts.
