Yep 3 per season, and 10k per SL, but may be worth it to ensure top man plays most games, and no problem if he gets a serious injury, can be right as rain in no time!!

Elgin_Boss- 04-05-2004
How much does you EL get boosted by? Correct me if I'm wrong but the player automatically gets his EL boosted to 10EL no matter what his EL is when the boost is applied, just as long as the player is injured?

CEL boss has pointed out that you can then run the risk of playing your topplayer and run his EL down and with the help of the boost keep your top men playing in more games.

Problem is I think this will benefit the teams with more money and in higher divisions.

Not so sure I'm so keen on the idea. biggrin.gif

He goes back to 10 EL whatever he was before.

Bit late now to decide you don't like the idea!!!

A few managers have asked about Pyhsio Boost, and I have now updated the rules on web site so they are current rule set.

Info on Pyhsio Boost in blue text near start of rules.

Has this been well used then?

Maybe worth making Physio boost cheaper???

Seems a good idea this Physio Boost.

5k per SL so more people make use of it maybe?

STE_Ricky- 08-10-2004
jsut to have my say on the matter - as pointless as its going to seem, i have to say this one rule created that i just dont like,
cant really say why, just not a fan,
maybe that i agree i think it only goes to help the rich and make it tougher for the poor,
maybe also that it just seems to be a rule to over complify the game. yes the game is betetr the more detailed it is but we need to keep it to a managable level - not every rule should pass the test and i ahve to say i dont think this one does.
not a fan...

any one else not a fan or is it just me?

maybe another trail of thought should be it must be getting harder and harder for new players to take up the game, as i for one started with few rules back in season 2 and picked them up easily as they are intorduced over the years, but surely it is getting harder for new managers to catch on and keep it up with so many rules? ones like this not helping.?!?! a thought...

Physio Boost is a good addition to SESL I believe.

Personally I think this is a good addition .
Especially for Injured players.
We have had cases of a player getting injured early in the season and
going -30EL .
It is a bit unfair to a manager to lose a player for such a long time.

It is not a cheap fix .

The other senario is end of season games where a manager is fighting
for survival (avoid relegation) and he is going into say the last 4/5
games with players suspended and Injured.
Obviously he can do nothing about suspensions , but at least give him
a "dogs chance" by getting his injured players fit.

As Mark said , in real life with modern techn. players do recover quicker
when expected to be out for a long time.

As to mid-season boost , definitely had to go .
As pointed out previously most managers went all out in the two games
leading up to mid-season boost .
This basically helped managers with SMALL squads (all big SL players).
It enabled them to win games they possibly could have lost/drawn.

Yeah, lets see how it goes in S13 before considering any changes to Physio Boost.

EST- 10-25-2004
Physio Boost is a great initiative.

Well done who ever dreamt up the idea.

Gabbarelli- 10-25-2004
I am a big fan of it!!

EST- 10-25-2004
Was it used on your GK this week?

He is on EL 10 anyway.

Gabbarelli- 10-25-2004
It was indeed, or else I would have had to depend on an SL15 GK!
