I'll be off down the bookies soon picking one or two out of this little lot as a real investment for this season. Expect only to be putting a few quid on. But what about if we see who the best punter is this season (seem to recall it may have been me last season)
Premier League: (odds shown are to win) Champions: Manchester United (11/8) Runners Up: Liverpool (9/2) Champions League: Chelsea (6/4) and Arsenal (10/1)
Prediction For My Club (Newcastle United) 8th (200/1)
Relegated (Odds shown to be relegated) Middlesbrough (5/1), Derby County (4/9), Fulham (13/8)
Top goalscorer: Mark Viduka (Newcastle) (20/1) First manager sacked: Sammy Lee (Bolton) (6/1)
Euro 2008 Qualification: England? Yes Scotland? No (thats a hard group!)
SPL Champions: Rangers (Evens) Runners Up: Celtic (4/5 - odds to win) Relegated: St Mirren (9/4)
Top goalscorer: Kris Boyd (2/1)
[Edited to add SkyBet odds for illustration] Adding the odds 2 bets jump out for me... Arsenal at 10/1 - 1/3 for each way for finishing top 3 seems a cracking bet Middlesbrough at 5/1 to be relegated; Coleman as manager is clueless and there is an awful lot of apathy amonst their supporters. Can't see Mido providing the goals to keep them up.... ...but if Michael Owen can stay fit I think the 16/1 to finish as top goalscorer could be a good run for the money.

I don't agree with your Viduka shout. He is 3rd choice striker at a struggling club. Owen is a better shout but still a long shot.
What odds on Van Persie?

English Premier League - Champions: Manchester United Runners Up: Chelsea Champions League: Liverpool and Newcastle
5th > 8th: Arsenal, Everton, Man City, Sunderland!
Relegated Wigan, Middlesbrough and Fulham
Scottish Premier League SPL Champions: Rangers Runners Up: who cares! Relegated: Gretna
Euro 2008 Qualification: England? No Scotland? No

Given the 5 strikers Spurs have, they should be banging in the goals -
B Bent, Berbatov, Keane, Defoe, Mido
Arsenal I am thinking are not going to be top 6 this season.
Newcastle should do quite well.
Liverpool will challenge, but it has to be Man Utd and Chelse neck in neck for English Premier League trophy.

Given the defenders Spurs have, they should not be losing all these goals !

Gretna are you a Spurs fan?
You can't be serious thinking that with the team and more importantly the manager Arsenal have they will finish outside the top 6.
Good preseason, strong depth to the squad that doesn't rely anymore on one player. And you can't write them off because of the performance against Fulham, surely that only makes them more fanciful. Gifted a goal away, didn't play brilliantly but still came away with the 3 points.
On the other hand, apart from didn't play brilliantly but still came away with the 3 points, you can't say the same about Liverpool. They still rely on one player and yes he came up with the goods on Saturday but what if he's injured later in the season?
They have a limp attack force that is not proven in the premiership. Torres is pure class but then so is Sheva.

Anthony Gardner is not fit enough to wear the shirt! Kaboule looks good but is young, Rocha is another not fit to wear the shirt! Not forgetting Micheal Dawson and Ledley King are both out.....both Spurs 1st choice defenders at Spurs and both regulars in the England Squad.
Give it time...if not, anyone got the odds for Jol being first sacked??!
Bookies have already paid out on the hearts Scottish manager being first sacked!!

OK, hands up who tipped Man Utd to win the Premiership?
2 points from 9 so far.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson not looking too clever!
Chelsea must be favourites for Premiership.

Time spent trying to get Carlos Tevez ?? Time spent pulling hair out watching Carlos Tevez miss from 1 foot. ??

Arsenal were 5 points clear of man U just last month i think, and now 6 points adrift.
Newcastle flopped. AGAIN!
OK got last bit right. Man U and Chelsea to battle it out.
