The Queens of the South are playing like GIRLS thus far.
QOS have been told to start playing like Kings rather than Queens, and that some Cup success is essential as relegation seems certain already.
Whether some Cup sucess means a great run in the Cup, remains to be seen, but boss Stephen Othen is said to be ready to face his Chairman and answer any doubts.
In the meantime he plans to do the talking on the pitch.

Seems to me like the Chairman's Bark is worse than his bite since i have been in this league he has not fired anyone
and how does this Chairman work out if your under preforming ?
C H A I R M A N- 03-25-2006
Well HIB, both QP and PT have new managers this season......
Failing to win a game would suggest all is not going well at QOS, and a Chairman barking is just the kick up the backside some managers need.
Ask MOT or HAM recently who bucked up their ideas last season after Chairman rants.
Beagle- 03-26-2006
String 'em up!
Les- 03-26-2006
Maybe MOT need another kick up the backside a bit earlier this season
I would humbly suggest that Len could be next in line for a call from the chairman after a very poor start!

I saw it work with them , just wish you would bite more
I have a great Idea how about taking CP away from the under preforming teams and give it to the top preforming team
Then they have a reason to under preform
C H A I R M A N- 03-27-2006
I shall treat that with the contempt it deserves HIB
(but it was quite amusing!)
Les > we are tracking MOT. As soon as we find him we may endevour to 'string him up' unless he tucks some wins under his bent pronto. I mean three 4-0 league defeats in a row! Shocking!
Hibernian- 03-28-2006
What about Celtic and Rangers, I feel they should be doing much better
Both "OLD FIRM" teams should be demoted to div3 maybe then they would be able to control a league
I'd like to see a new era with those 2 teams in div3

Celtic and Rangers in real life were always bleating about joining the English leagues, but starting at the bottom division would be only fair way to do it.
As for QOS crisis - Mr Othen is staying very quiet. What say you Stephen ?
QOS- 03-28-2006
I am shocked, surprised and appalled at the Chairman's comments after only six matches of the new league season. After all, my record as manager of QOS has been excellent so far:
First season - promotion from Div3, manager of the season. Second season - promotion from Div2, manager of the season. Third season - CECIL Cup semi-finalist, finished in the top half of Div1.
It is true that QOS have only managed to pick up four points from six games, but has the chairman looked at the opponents? We have already played the top three teams in the league (Celtic, Rangers and Hibs) as well as last season's champions Inverness, and in those matches we only really played badly against Hibs. We drew against Rangers and Inverness and were unlucky to lose to Celtic by the odd goal. The away draw against Albion was acceptable, although a win would have been better, and the recent 3-3 draw against Buckie Thistle was a travesty as we were clearly the better team.
As for "relegation seems certain already" - can the Chairman count! QOS are only two points behind 12th place, with 24 matches to go, so there is plenty of scope to escape. I am confident of avoiding relegation this season, with or without a good Cup run.
C H A I R M A N- 03-30-2006
Some good points, well made Stephen.
I'll get my coat!
QOS- 03-30-2006
Yes, well losing to an NMRing Stirling in the CECIL Cup probably wasn't the best move in the circumstances
Dunfermline- 04-16-2006
The QOS crisis must be officially over now?
3 wins from last 6 league matches, plus a pair of wins in CECIL cup.
Beware HAM - the Cup may well have QOS name on it, as Stephen has certainly turned things around.
SeslDotNet- 05-30-2006
The SESL C H A I R M A N has been put in to cold storage for the remainder of this season, but he will be back again, fear not!
I think on the whole he has acted as a motivator to some managers who had perhaps lost a little focus. I think the majority have turned things around very well, including QOS, HAM & PT.
These managers deserve great credit.
Hearts- 02-22-2007
Less than a year on, and QOS were TOP of division 1.
Is the CHAIRMAN is a great motivator?
