Seeing as the random injury situation has reared it's head and is causing a bout of discussion of the blog I thought I'd give everyone a chance to log their opinions.

I'm not sure. With 2 games and not many being able to change lineups if there's an injury in the first one it can cause chaos to EL management.
In general I don't think there have been too many random injuries - it's why we have a squad of up to 25 players.

Keep it but go to 1 game a session.
WeeBeardyBloke- 11-04-2007
keep it as it is.

I think the chance was brought up too high. Drop it back down to half way between what it was and what it is. This season was always meant to be used to -*test*-('") the change. I think it's too high and that it used to be too low. Maybe try an average.

Change the options for the responses - why would anyone love it?
Nowt wrong with it the way it is.
Its a curve ball rule to ensure that the best team doesn't just always win - now that WOULD detract from the game!

There's no need to change the responses and they don't have to be taken literally. It's pretty obvious the first one means you're in favour, the second means you're not and third means you're undecided and it might need some tweaking.
Jeez, nit-picking or what ?

8 votes for "love it" already
More likely to be happy with idea, rather than a full love affair with random injuries!

Currently, 24 managers have voted, and it's not conclusive.
But the Managers who have not voted, 50% of SESL are obviously so incensed with the rule that they have not even given this issue the time of day and a no vote is a 'no' vote in my book.

I would hate to see the league sessions move to 1 match.

I like the way that random injuries have played out this season. Very realistic.
David HAM King- 11-19-2007
Has anybody worked out what the actual injury stats have been this season, compared to the last few? How much difference has it actually made?
I voted against it, as I don't like it, but I've been through that point already elsewhere.
Steve Turner- 11-19-2007
I was keeping tabs on it but it got to be too much effort.
It seemed like there was one injury every two games I played - this after the first week because Commish "turned down" the odds. In the first week every game was giving an injury (on average).
All I can remember from last season was that I had injuries in consecutive weeks that were not caused by low EL and they wee the only ones I had.
