From 32 lineups submitted in match 1, I noticed only one team was below 50% (think about 48%, not sure).  I think that team were playing age 0 and others for purpose of early CP and TP, so having taken that risk and they had been blowout out, then they would have deserved blowout.
The blowout rule is to encourage teams to play their best available lineup were possible, and not to throw matches that could impact other challenging teams.

Jackie, that was PT. And only because my captain suffered an injury, or else my % would be above 50%.

Yes, i had one Age 0 player on field. I will always have a max ending SL of about 55% as I intend to rest players once I a while. Otherwise I will have lots of injuries due to fatigue.

I do not feel that if I got Blown Out I should deserved it. This because i personaly feel that you cannot play your best available lineup possible every match. Because after two matches players are in need of a rest or get injured in match 3. This can only be countered if you have 20 outfield players and 2 GK who are all around the same SL. That leaves you with just 2 matches for a player every 4 league matches.

Reading the above...that could solve a lot of problems for many teams. SESL/jerkit.gif

Yer I like the Flatnz rule. That way regardless of the score, the manager is penalised for his intent on 'throwing' the match. Surely it is a penalty for the manager's deliberate intent to loose the match, rather than a penalty for bad luck! The amount of goals scored is also dependent on the ability and tactics of the other team, whereas the level of skill played is at the offenders end of the spectrum. I think what has to be addressed here is the fact that the offending manager cannot affect how the other team plays, although he can affect how his own team plays. Once again Tim has thought this through! SESL/goodluckicon.gif

I also have to agree with Oli's view on the red card situation. When watching real football, how often do you think a referee produces a red card for a penalty kick offense, it certainly isn't 60% of the time! I would also like the idea of having the percentages affected by the home bias, for example how often do you see a referee produce a card at Old Trafford? I like the idea of having referees as more influential characters in the game, after all this is certainly the case in real life. Perhaps random spells of 'bad-refereeing' such as ungiven corners or offsides, or unfortunate bookings. Although I would suggest leaving out the 3 yellow card trick (fortunately Graham Poll doesn't seem to be on the list of referees)! Such incidents could also add to the improved commentary of the match.

I went through a whole year of Premiership and Championship games - looking to see when penalties were scored and if there was a yellow or red card around the same time. Not accurate I know but very roughly (as I know longer have the e-mail I sent to Al and Mark) it was 10% red, 30% yellow.
