SESL Cup Groups - live draw?

Sunday May 14th - probably starting around 6:30 PM UK time.

There's a small window between certain people getting back from church and then their wives wanting dinner.

I'll be e-mailing everyone tonight to try and get the best time to suit most people.

As 5 group games are neutral, then it makes sense for knock out games to be consistant and neutral too.

However, if SESL Cup is seen as the main Cup, then monetary awards could be given for getting to later rounds.

300k for Finalsists
200k for semi finalist
100k for quarterfinalists

A team that gets to the final will be playing 5 more games anyway and that's worth more than 300k in gate money. In fact I reckon it could easily be 500k because those teams will have improving morale.

The main reason for 1 game per round is to get the season finished without those who were knocked out having to wait for something to do.

My biggest worry is the fact that I may have to play T11 for 2 or 3 group games to avoid the 120k blowout and that could ruin my promotion chances.

Fair point Steve.

Poor idea of mine to award money for cup success, so thanks for pointing out bit about extra gate receipts and morale, as I overlooked this in my greed!

For those new to the league and haven't read the rules, there will be 8 groups - A to H, with 6 teams in each group. Each plays 5 games (hopefully this will be at a neutral ground with no home bonus) and the top 4 from each group goes through to the knockout stage.
