Well three weeks into it and already the big name players are emerging from the pack and proving to be the high points scorers.

The surprise package so far (and value for money) are Hearts players with Steven 'Elvis' Pressley the highest points scorer so far with 20 points - thanks to three clean sheets in his first three games and two goals into the bargain.
The Hearts GK, young Craig Gordon looks to be a good early season buy to with 12 points on the board. They've still to play Celtic yet - so they still await a barrowload of goals getting put by them and all you guys with Hearts defenders picking up negative points.
Taking the above into account its no surprise that commish is in the lead with both Pressley and Maybury (12pts) in his team. Clever use of subs has also saw commish pick up points up front from various strikers (Drogba, Henry, Prso, Bergkamp).
And with 82 points our commish just missed out (by 1 point) in making it into the top 40 teams list in this Mondays edition of the Herald.
I'm sure the league will change again before the weekend with almost all teams in the EPL (with the exception of those with CL ties) in action during the week - so clever use of subs (if you've not used them already) could see plenty of points being picked up.
So who are the players to look out for in the coming weeks?
Andy Cole at Fulham may be a bargain and seems to have a new lease of life there. The big hitters like Henry and Pires look to be on fire as usual however Dennis Bergkamp appears to be a bargain at the moment. Reyes also looks like he could be a good buy.
John Hartson at Celtic looks like he could be the fill the 'bumper points' throne filled by Henrik Larsson last season. And a £4.5 million Juninho could be worth buying with a move to Celtic almost signed and sealed.
Xabi Alonso has completed his move to Liverpool and once the FA confirm his registration the Herald will add him to the list of players.
