Right, most people will have at least a little time off over the festive period so it seems a good time to start a new challenge. Now come on admit it everybody needs to get away from the family for a couple hours and is xmas tv really that good??? suggestions for a decent challenge to be made here so people can maybe get started next week perhaps?
So to start the ball rolling what about Auxerre or Marseille? what about Aberdeen or Hibs or should we head over the Atlantic and have a USA challenge? The world is our oyster gentlemen (and lady) choose wisely.
Sabri Lamouchi, Franck Ribery & Samir Nasri are names I am familiar with.
Never realised Cisse was at Marseille though. What about Bartez - which club is he at now?
Alo Boss- 12-13-2006
Yeah Cisse is on a season long loan at Marseille, but remember he does start the game with that broken leg of his as far as i recall. Out til about november on the game i think.
Barthez was released at the end of last season wasnt he? Played his part in an onfield brawl and was banned for 6 months so they let him go.

I have started up Olympique Marseille. Not a single MC in 1st team squad :-(
Couple of DM's, but more than 6 AMR AML types. Early Cross work in Football Manager game! :-)

Well it looks like Marseille then, fire away fellas and report back here on how you get on. Would be good to get a few more people involved this time, so cummon, dont be shy get going!!
Ayr- 12-20-2006
Count me in.
Squad looks reasonable at game start up. How long we can hold on to Frank Ribery is another matter!
Richard B- 12-25-2006
seems marseille is the one so i will crack on with that asap
SeslDotNet- 12-28-2006
Olympique Marseille at December season 1 - sitting 3rd in table.
My first 11 is very similar to real life Marseille choices per my post above on Dec 12th.
Niang/Cisse/Smith often all 3 injured at same time!
SOLD Toifilov Maoulida to Liverpool for 2M
Ayr- 12-29-2006
4 months in, and 4th in the table
Bordeaux running away with the league.
SeslDotNet- 01-03-2007
Olympique Marseille at March season 1 - sitting 2nd in table.
Toulouse surprise league leaders - Johan Elmander has 22 goals already from AMC.
Top January signing - Andres Guardado, wing back, from team Atlas in Mexico for £2 million. Only 20 years old, but a superstar in making.

Well I had a quick go and despite making it through the league section of the Euro cup and the first knockout round later, alongside a semi-final appearance in the league cup I got sacked for poor league performance.
Small matter of being 10th in the league whilst half the team seemed to spend time in the infirmary.
GMcD.

I'm struggling a little with this one too, although i must admit i havent played many games. Bottom half of the table at the moment but new signing Forsell seems to have started scoring so things might just turn around.
