Linking in with the recent manager summary sent out, what would be good is if somebody with access to old SESL reports matches etc, could do some kind of feautres on top SESL matches gone by.

Perhaps summarising old Cup Finals, or league winning or relegation matches?

I suppose somebody could do this in their press, or perhaps the Commish will offer somebody a reward for doing something along these lines??

It would be interesting to see who the top teams and players were back in early SESL days.......

I know theres a few managers who keep old SESL files - i have all going back to season 5 and 90% of them from season 2-4, nothing from season 1 as i wasnt in SESL then and i know from when i waas trying to get hold of this info a couple of seasons ago its very elusive if it has survived at all.

If anyone wants any files just ask.

I might have a look at players of old (the Super player days) in comparison to the stars of today, i seem to remember a certain Mr Lovell reaking havoc around SESL in days gone by....

I would certainly offer a reward for this, as long as it was brief but detailed.

Really sounds like a good idea, but would take a lot of work and research by the person that takes it on.

Perhaps an appealing reward from the Commish may entice somebody to give it a bash?

I remember the days when I started, challenging with COW, HAM and MOT for the 1st Division title. How the mighty have fallen, COW were down in Division 3 this season, although they look on the way back, HAM are a pale shadow of their team, which always challenged for the title, but were always bridesmaids, never the bride as they say. MOT only ones to have stayed in the top division since those days.....

Top scorers from last few seasons and previous match results from last few seasons are available from new web site now. A decent feature I think.

I would like to see key moments in sesl history noted somewhere too -

- like the day a team was thrashed by a record scoreline,
or
- the day a player scored 6 goals,
or
- the day a photo of flogging a dead horse was posted !!

Americans love their stats, while UK peeps generally like their history.

Our cousins from continental europe are maybe somewhere in the middle.

So all in all I think there are plenty statistics and information on the SESL web site already to keep the majority of SESLers contented.

Having just taken the reigns at Motherwell I'm interested to hear that they were once Topdogs in SESL . They will be again Bruvvers They will be Again! Give me two seasons & I will have them back contesting for the Div 1 Title . That will put real pressure on those Upstart Hibernians !

You mean on the old firm , Hibs has not been tops dogs since the start of SESL

Thankfully someone is talking about putting real pressure on those Upstart Hibernians.
