DEWAR TO BE DUMPED?

SM are the first team in SESL to be mathimatically relegated.

In 10 weeks since taking over, manager Robin Dewar has made little progress with SM.

The total team Skill Level appears LESS than when he took over. We know about mid-season ageing, but SM Directors provided over 30 CP and 30 TP.

Why has Alan Russell 3 26 MA not been CP'ed to 3/29 ?
Why has Brian McGinty 3 22 FW not been CP'ed to 3/28 ?

In the last 16 games, Mr Dewar has lost 13 and drawn 2.
The only game won was 1-0 vs FAL (who were almost on a run of 10 games defeated in a row!)

Compare this to the previous SM boss who swapped and went to ROS.
Mark Boland has taken ROS up 5 places in Div 2 and out of relegation worries.

What possible excsue have you got Dewar !!!???

C'mon the poor guy didn't exactly inherit Barcelona did he. Saints were already well down the slippery slope when Robin kindly offered to take them off my hands and it's unlikely even Jose Mourinho would have kept them up this season. It's the old managerial adage. Judge them when he's had a chance to bring in his own players.

Dear Mr. Chairman, I am somewhat disappointed that you have chosen this time to question, my management skills. At least you should have waited for this weeks results where we will probably lose 6-0 to MOT. I will point out that I am away this week scouting for new players and my assistant Zoltan is in charge of the team selection.

When I was appointed as manager of St Mirren it was only my "HOME" ties with Paisley, that drew me here, as I was reluctant to leave ROS who were in the process of rebuilding and had NO chance of relegation. ( see this weeks press).
Mark has done a great job with and I expect great things from ROS next season.

I did lay out to the SM board that this would be a 3-year program as we probably faced relegation this season. Next season would be a rebuilding one in div2 and the following season we would be challenging for promotion and a return to DIV1.

When I arrived SM had gone 0-0-6 and the fans had little to cheer about; added to this the team was leaking goals drastically at the rate of 4.5 per game. This has been halved in the time I have been here (now 2.2) and the team has gone on to win 2 games and draw 3, even taking a point of the champions elect DFA.

Team moral has greatly improved, where else in the country will you find the whole Squad in the Boozer on a Friday nite. This does a great deal for team bonding and the lads get fired up and on a Friday nite have the confidence to beat anyone; it somehow disappears come Saturday, that is something I will have to work on. My coaching has been called into question re Russell & McGinty; these are players for NOW, I was looking towards next season and saw Murray & Rowe as vital players for our future.
Having said that it has been my intention all season that Russell will finish on 29.
I have used extra coaching points on trying to lift the teams playing ability on the ground and the OTF has gone up from 2 to 7.

Finally back to my scouting mission, I hope to announce shortly that we will be bringing a QUALITY Midfield player into the squad for next season. I am off to look at Bosman, who has been getting rave reviews in Kurdistan, I have every confidence that Bosman will be a St Mirren player next year which will be a big boost to our MF.

Miracles I can perform, the Impossible I can not. SESL/awall.gif

I think Robin can take some comforts for his efforts with SM, in difficult circumstances.

I am sure he will be flying the Div 2 Champions flag next season. SESL/flag_gb.gif

SM have just 1 win in last 7 games. OK, they did beat MOT 5-0 some 8 games ago, but everyone else was beating MOT back then anyway :-)

Robin - I will send the Chairman off on vacation for a few weeks, so by the time he has returned you will be winging your way up the Div 2 league table, right?

Found this old one.

The league flags are indeed flying at SM nowadays.

As long as the la-*test*-('") SM boss can avoid having to play Dundee United the signs are encouraging SESL/cheerleader.gif
