For excitement which would you vote for?  Premiership.

TV companies tend to agree as while a few thousand watch live SPL games, it can be a a few million who watch live Premiership games beamed around the globe.

Its the glamour of the Priemiership that attracts the TV, the amount of foriegn players also makes it attractive to foriegn TV companies.

Glamour is not excitement!

Also the SPL live games are not shown as part of the normal Sky TV package, so they are all effectively pay per view matches. It would be interesting to see how the viewing figures for the SPL games compared to the pay per view Sky matches.

I would vote for the SPL this season:

1)  The league race was not over by December.

The league race was not over by December? SESL/iamwithstupid.gif
Was it earlier than this then !?

Anyone who thinks Celtic will not win the SPL this season is a dumpling.

True, glamour is not excitement. But when thousands leave SPL games early it does not suggest there is much excitement. You may see fans leave early at places like Sunderland, but average Premiership game has almost full stands right to final whistle.

Who is kidding who here? SESL/topicsucks.gif
While the SPL has improved over the last 2 years, the Premiership is the place everyone wants to be (according to Celtics very own spokeman trotting out same old laughable story monthly up here).

Sometimes I wish the old firm would play in England, but it will never happen.

Which is most exciting?

SPL, closer at the top

SPL is where it's at this season..... SESL/tongueout.gif

If Celtic are crowned league Champions before Chelsea,
then you have your answer. wub.gif

I hear Scotsport SPL viewings figures are a fraction of the Scottish based tv audience watching Premierships Match of the Day programme.

The best SPL team cannot even qualify for Champions League initial group stage, while an average Premiership side can make it all the way to the Final.

I think Premiership just edges it! The relegation battle currently is better than any SPL non events I have seen. The most recent old firm game last weekend an example.

The transfer window that has just shut saw:-

English Premiership teams spend a record 500 million pounds. SESL/eek.gif

SPL teams spent 18 million. ph34r.gif
