1. Just wondering how T11/T17 Stats are calculated...

If you simply take a team's top 11 players, they might not be eligible to play eg. 2xSL30 GK's so that formula would be of little interest.

So how about SW's and WG's if the formula was to suggest a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 line-up as including your top11 players, and then there's playing Out Of Position, SD, DM, MA and UT's! Streuth! Seems like T11 and T17 are just Ball Park figures that could lead you to believe those guys are whole lot better/worse than you! when the truth is actually the opposite........

2. Who takes notice of these stats?

AIUI the T11 and T17 stats simply take into account your best goalie and next ten best outfield players and not a lot more than that. I think T17 takes two goalies and the next 15 best players. Thats it. There may be a slight extra few checks but I don't think the stat is that complicated.

For me T17 is probably the best indicator, since its rare that any manager will put out his full T11, except perhaps for the odd crunch match which they must win.

As for who takes account of the stats I think that their simplicity is actually part of the beauty of them and I hope people do at least give them some thought. They provide a mechanism to quickly gauge the relative strengths of teams. Sure they're not an absolute predictor of results but I'd be surprised, though I've never checked, if T17 is not a good indicator of the final slots in any of the divisions.

Why top 17 players?

Just curious, as you list 16 in a lineup, so why not top 16?

or top 20 maybe? Any squads with more than 20 players are normally the 6/3, 5/8 type of useless player, so good to discount them in a stat summary.

Could thare be a VALUATION list? Add cp/tp and bank, plus VALUE of players.
Weigh it in so Div 1 player of same age and SL is worth 25% more than guide, and Div 3 worth 25% less.

Who is the CHELSEA of SESL then ??? That would be an interesting stat i think, for fun.

This is my take on it:

You need 10 outfield players per game. They use up 60 EL when playing normal. So you need 15 outfield players in total at +4 EL each to recoup that 60 EL. Add 2 GKs.

T11 is 1 GK plus the next best 10, which might include a GK as well.
T17 is 2 GKs plus the next best 15.

What Steve says makes perfect sense on coming to a T17 stat.

However, with all these aggressive GK and such like,
maybe it WILL be T22 in the not so distance future

I must confess to checking Top 11 and Top 17 on a weekly basis during season 20 at Forfar. Always good to keep track of rival teams, as a key trade or two could propel a rival up many notches.

Although I noticed when you make a trade or buy an auction player then the T11 or T17 stats do NOT update timeously, so may be some delay with stats 'refreshed' daily or something such like.

Thats exactly what happens. Stats are refreshed roughly every 24 hours, though some stats and details are updated immediately.
