What are manager's opinions as to what team has been the best in the entire history of the SESL?

1st phase of SESL - team HIB were immense with very high SL star players.
2nd (middle) phase of SESL - team BEL were strong.
3rd phase of SESL - team CEL were strong, but not runaway leaders.

Currently I think teams DFA, SM and STJ could dominate next 3 seasons.....

As for SESL Cup - the best is clearly Aberdeen with FOUR sesl cup trophies.

I think that Celtic and Rangers are still going to have a lot of punch left in them for a while and my own STJ is not been promoted yet, but thanks for the compliment. SESL/goodluckicon.gif

This added pressure on me as the manager, and the high expectation on DFA is definitely not easy to take. SESL/fingersXicon.gif

I do believe DFA is a good team, but it will take me a while to learn everything there is to know bout SESL.

Just don't understand how RAN and CEL manage to win every weeks. SESL/awhack.gif

I'd say the Celtic team of 3 season ago...

aren't I modest....

I read on history write-ups that 3 seasons ago HAM were yet again tipped for glory, but seems CEL won the Div 1. Was it a close finish?
And HAM are sure on the decline now.

HAM had a good solid and most of all stable management throughout most of the seasons, but now there is a new manager.

I expect that it would take a while for the new manager to learn the ropes, good luck for the Accies SESL/goodluckicon.gif

I'd add Albion to the middle phase of SESL. They won the 3rd, 2nd and 1st Division's in three consecutive seasons - then I managed to get Bellshill into Division 1 and won it three times in a row - still to be achieved by the current upstarts SESL/sunshine.gif

Things were a bit easier in that phase of SESL as the ageing tables were more gentle and people were still willing to trade away their TP for peanuts!

Alas I can't lay claim to Albion's success they were managed by Alon Atie but I did stop them winning Division 1 again!

Since Mark had to dismantle a HIBS team from many seasons ago due to their unmatched superiority, I would say that they are the best ever.

Anyone around "way back" that remembers this HIB mega-team mentioned from time to time?

HIBS was by far the best. Didn't Mark have to eliminate some of the roster after Michael Fant left to make SESL competitive again?

Steve Turner- 10-25-2008
I've heard that one reason for HIB's success was that it was before 10 PU was the maximum.

STE_Ricky- 10-26-2008
It was before the 10PU Max rule, and Mr. Fant seemed to pick up a lot quicker than everyoe else the fact that 3-4 star players was a better use of CP/TP than a squad of 15-20 "pretty decent" players...

Beagle- 11-11-2008
Wait a minute...3-4...STAR players.....better....than.....oh gawd!
