Bookies stopped taking bets on Martin O'Neill as next boss of the Toon... ...they're not normally wrong! I hope they're right on this one

Kevin Keegan messiah return at Newcastle United as manager not going so well.
Is that 9 games he has been in charge, and no wins yet?

Not really counting but to be honest we haven't really deserved anything in most of those games.
We are poo and seriously lacking in confidence - not a good combination!
Last time Keegan came as manager we avoided relegation to the old 3rd Division on the last day of the season. No looking back after that! Will history repeat itself, be good if it could. BUT it needs some radical rethinking about the players and style of play we adopt. (Although in fairness against Blackburn at least there were signs of playing to Owen's strengths)
Certainly not too good to go down - indeed I'd suggest on current form we're a certainty. But I think there is enough talent in that club (playing and coaching) to ensure we pick up another 4 wins before the end of the season which is probably all thats needed (40 pts being usually enough to avoid the drop) and then start again for next season!

Oh dear.
King Kevin has quit.
What now for the 'Toon' ?

Once they brought Wise in as "Director of Football" this was inevitable really.
Shame really 'cos the 3 new players we've seen to date have looked like very good additions (Guthrie - solid, reliable and his distribution has looked 1st class; Collicini - at last a defender who knows how to defend and "Spiderman" - Jonas is the first player I've seen in a while who actually excites me and makes me wants to go watch football. This fella seems a top notch addition all round. He works back, turned up on the first day speaking fluent English... how long before someone takes him off us?)
Don't know anything about the two new additions on deadline day but Deportivo fans thought a lot of Xisco and he has the "potential" to be as good as Torres. If thats anywhere near correct its one heck of a new signing.
Selling Milner? I reckon this was a big mistake. Whilst publicly KK stated that he authorised the sale I believe he was either towing the official club line and/or mislead about his transfer targets coming in.
KK going like this is yet another case of one step forward two steps back for the club. Another public own goal - but the manner in which it unfolded made us look like a laughing stock again.
I actually feel a little sorry for Mike Ashley in all this. He spent o lot of money buying the club, clearing the debts, listening to the fans - but I think he was ill advised bringing Wise in just after appointing KK....
Who would want to be boss of the Toon at this time. In this set up it can only be a foreign coach with broad shoulders because a number of fans are disgruntled - which never helps the team on the pitch.
