Biggest game in history of real-life Hearts tonight as we tackle AEK Athens in 1st leg for a place in the biggest club tournament in the world - the Champions League.

1-0 Hearts tonight is my prediction.

Bring it on. SESL/sunshine.gif

Is that THREE years in a row Chelsea have to face Barcelona in Champions League group stages?

Liverpool have a nice group with PSV, Bordeaux and Galatasaray.

Arsenal take on Porto, CSKA Moscow and Hamburg - fairly easy group.

Manchester United are in with Celtic, Benfica and surprise minnows FC Copenhagen.

Hearts- 09-11-2006
Man Utd said to be resting some players in this Wednesdays Champ League match vs Celtic.

Lack of respect?

Or some daft mind games?

Hope it's true whatever the motivation behind it! SESL/wink.gif

Sir Alex could rest his first XI and still come away with a victory

Would love to see that theory -*test*-('")ed in practice, doubt it will be though!

Once the diving had ceased, a great game of association football played last night in Barcelona vs Chelsea match.

A 2-2 draw about a fair result, and only surprise was Drogba not going down in the penalty box in injury time, but instead scoring a well taken goal.

Why was Saha allowed to take the last minute penalty? His head was down and he never even took a proper run up. So obvious he was going to miss it.
It was never a penalty in the first place anyway, but then neither was it a free kick for Nakamura goal, but the game is all about taking your chances. Man Utd may have had plenty possession but little end product. Was Wayne Rooney even playing - hardly saw him!

UEFA vote for a new president today, a nd Platini is stating if he wins then he will cut the English teams entering from 4 to 3 teams.
I would go a step further and make it top 2 maximum per nation.

Saint Mirren- 03-06-2007
Anyone else think Barcelona can shock the Champions League and turn around the home leg defeat tonight at Anfield vs Liverpool?

Inverness- 04-25-2007
Crucuial last minute goal by Rooney last night. Now Man Utd need a draw in Milan to get to the Champions League Final.

Tonight, I can see Liverpool draw, then win tie at home next week.
Score prediction:
CHELSEA 1-1 LIVERPOOL

Jose Mourinho complained last week that Chelsea never get any penalties.

Well they got 3 last night after extra time, and see what happened!

Where was Drogba and Shaun Wright Philips when the penalty takers were being choosen. Poor show.
Geremi was never going to scored,
and Robben is more used to falling down in the penalty box! wub.gif
