End season 1 in 5th place in the table. Disappointed, as others on here seem to be fairing much better.

Bashing in to season 2 as I type this.

I am now at Saarbruckan who were rock bottom on German top division for first few months. I then went on an almighty signing spree in January and its now March and I am from 18th to 10th in table. Board unhappy as high wages, but I am delighted with this turnaround.

Got offered Nurmberg and Koln (without applying) and turned them both down last night. I had earlier applied for Bolton & Aston Villa and never got them and that inspired me to try make a success in Germany.

Richard B done well to win the Spanish title with Betis!

Do I just start up a new thread for screen dump for the German leg, or does the Commish do that?

40 goal Drogba helped me to a very hard fought title win over Schalke.

Have the Spurs job lined up for the close season, onwards and upwards to England now!

Played 10 days of this and not doing very well at all actually with Athletico Madrid.

Got about 2 months to go til end of season 1, and NOT going to win league as 6th in table just now.

Got my pre-season with Spurs underway - a title in first season looks pretty unachievable, with not the best squad, and with Chelsea and Man Utd signings players for silly money. Liverpool also trying to buy Ronaldinho from Barca!!

Sold a lot of fringe players, for a total of £30m, splashed out about £35m myself on four top players (bit of a Brazilian theme):-

D/DM L Fabio Santos for £8m, from somewhere in Brazil
DM C Matuzalam for £6.25m from Shaktar
S C Pazzini for £13m from Chelsea
and top signing looks like young Lenny from Fluminese, AM/F C for £5.75m (had to set his nickname to his proper name Fernando Coelho) - Lenny reminds me of Neil Lennon and no way is he a young attacking Brazilian midfielder!!!

Hoping for a Euro placing, and maybe a cup in S1 with Spurs......

Then push on in S2 for the title perhaps...

Season 2 - at Saarbrucken in Germany and spent half the season at foot of division. Went on a spending spree in January and got team from 18th to 8th in the table to delight of fans. However Board unhappy at 'out of control' wages - so I applied for every job going.....

No one in Germany came up, but in England there were a few vacancies and I finally got Newcastle.

So season 3 onwards will be spent in Premiership, and maybe one day I can return to Germany to complete this treble title challenge.

Well i just couldnt get a job after season 1 so i ended up takign the first thing that came up after the season had started (half way thru to be precise) so i am now at Bolton of all places trying desperately to avoid relegation! I def need to move on at the end of the season to try and get this challenge back on track

Midway through Season 3, still with Spurs, a poor run has just come to an end and now moving back up the table, sitting at 7th spot in January. The title is about 13 points too far away, so just looking to finish as high as possible for a title tilt in S4.

Was offered Newcastle job in Decemeber, but with only a £2m transfer kitty they couldn't tempt me, if Liverpool come along I would jump from Spurs, until then Spurs are my hope for the English leg of the challenge.

Ok so my Bolton adventure wasnt a raging success as i managed to finish 14th, was just making plans for having a crack at the tile next season with some rather inspired signings (even if i do say so myself!!) when the job at Stuttgart came up so i'm off to Germany to try and grab that title before moving back to England, Onwards!!

Cannot get any sort of form together at all.

Think its time I consider moving to Germany and try my luck at a title win there. But what kind of team will employ me after a fairly torrid time so far.

One week on, no one in Germany will take me, so still plodding on in vain!

From memory, here is summary of my 5 seasons:-

S1 - Athletico Madrid - League Champions, Won Cup
S2 - Saarbrucken - <blank!>
S3 - Newcastle - Won FA Cup.
S4 - Liverpool - League Champions
S5 - Werder Bremen - League Champions, Won Cup, Won Euro Cup (uefa)

So as well as 3 league titles in 3 countries, I won the 3 main cups in each country too.

Happy with that haul.

Appears Commish won this challenge hands down.

Its been nearly 2 months since Gaberelli last updated us on his FM play, while NAI boss has sesl team issues to deal with, and ALO is battling bravely on with Man City.

Is this challenge all over?
I haven't actually been involved in it, but have followed the thread and was wondering if a winner had been declared yet?
There doesn't seem to have been a posting with an official outcome and there has been little in the way of comment from the usual suspects.
Gab has gone all quiet, HEA boss is on a sabatical, NAI boss is trying to sell anything and everthing and ALO and FAL bosses also appear to have given up.
Does this mean the Commish has won through default?

Commish won the 3 league titles in 5 seasons, doesnt look like anybody has been able to beat that so i guess Mr Commish has to be crowned champion on this occasion
