Well well well ...

Technically, I am still going with this challenge, however not as VfB Stuttgart!

I was sacked. Just 5 games into league season 3. A win, 2 draws and 2 defeats.

Board said afterwards I had fallen out with the staff (this was news to me!)
On reflection, I think I was never forgiven for selling Kleb, so all be warned!

After a 4 month wait, I am now the new boss of Aachen. Rock bottom of the league.
January transfer window looms, and Board have put up 4.2M to spend to keep club in top division.
Wish me luck.

Ok so i have finished season 3 and i am really struggling to turn VFB in to a title challenging side. My defence is still awful but i have just signed Yobo on a free to play alongside Boumsong so hopefully this will help.
Well this is how i faired this season,

4th in the League

So imagine my surprise when England sacked Erikson and gave me the job!!

After the initial 'surge' of concentrated effort over the Xmas break its taken a fair few bits and bobs of filly in time to finish season 3 - and what a truly memorable season it turned out to be NOT.
Basically highlight was finishing 9th and board telling me that they are 'unsatisfied'. No european football or anything to look forward to or anything so if we get off to a bad season in season 4 i think i'll be for the high jump - the board expects european qualification in my fourth season.
Kluivert is on board with Kevin Beattie (Kuranyi was all set to leave and then suddenly accepted my offer) so I have far too many strikers to keep happy.
I've signed far too many 'brits' and most of them end up either 'unhappy and unsettled' or injured!!!!
These include Dyer, Upson, Holland, Cuducini, Zenden and Ferguson. But my best signing to date has probably been Ono ( I notice there are a fair few managers who signed him also ).
I suspect Season 4 will be a make or break season - but either way I'm getting a bit bored with life in Germany and fancy a different challenge with someone like Hartlepool instead anyway!!!

Sacked at Christmas of Season No 4...

worst part was I didn't even see it coming. I was 8th and looking forward to the Jan trade window opening - but I had obviously raised the boards expectations too high ' cos they wanted me to be challenging at the top!

...and to think of all the things I did for them.

Anyway, time to concentrate on Forest now

I am going onto Forest too, but will keep my VFB game saved for future use!
