Romanov is also looking for Scottish Premier League defeats by Hibernian and Rangers to be staged again.

"If we're after a fair game in Scotland, I insist on a replay of the match against Celtic," Romanov said.

"But it is not the only game that should be replayed again.

"The authorities should look at two others where I believe my team has not been treated fairly. My players have been beaten up.

No wonder you think SPL so exciting as Celtic have played with 12 men a couple of times in last 10 days.

vs Hearts and also vs Clyde when ref failed to play by rules and red card a player yet awarded a penalty!

Hearts started well under Mr Romanov's influence but have done nothing since George Burly's surprising departure.

This outburst along with other recent remarks are beginning to show that Romanov doesn't really have what it takes to be in charge of a football club,
He sounds more like a crazy man everytime he says something now.

It doesn't look good for the future down Georgie way.

You really think Paul Telfer counts as a player????

Careful Commish, don't want to join ranks of those paranoid Rangers fans do you?

What, like the "12 men on pitch" bug effects SPL games now as well as the sesl ?
Jings crivens! SESL/wink.gif

That was almost funny ELG_boss.

Almost! SESL/wink.gif

Thing is why does Romanov only want matches his team lost replayed?

Suggestion on a postcard anybody? SESL/header.gif

Romanov is a rare breed in football nowadays, as he backs his manager with decent transfer funds. Hearts signed 11 players in January.

Gabbarelli- 02-01-2006
Romanov does provide funds, a couple of million spent, which is a vast amount for a club like Hearts. They are outspending giants such as Rangers this season.

However it must be noted that of the 11 signings, I think at least 4 are loan deals?

I think they now have around 6 players from Romanov's other club, Kaunas on loan - wonder what the reasoning behind this is? I genuinely don't have a clue, just putting the question out there!

Hearts have spent alot of money, nearly £2m on a number of players, none of which are household names in this country. In fact they have broke the club record transfer fee signing a winger called whatshisname from somewher in Belgium.

A lot of gambles being made here.

I reckon Mr Romanov has got some kind of scam going to get better value on these loan players from his other team as playing in Scotland they will get more media attention than if they stayed at FC Kaunus and if they perform well, better sell on fees.

Still don't think it looks good down Georgie way

I wonder what the reasoning behind this is?

Reason is when the Scottish players go on strike,
then Romanov can play all his Lithuanians! SESL/wink.gif

Seriously though, I think the issue could be cultural. Perhaps the foreign players may be used to having an owner meddle in team affairs so to majority of Hearts squad this is not an issue.

SeslDotNet- 02-08-2006
Maybe real life HEA went NMR so Romanov took role of Olmec and creating line-up himself !
SESL/wink.gif

OK, I understand the fuss over the leaked news yesterday that Rix is not picking the team, but his title is 'first team coach' and not 'manager', so issue for me is whether Rix has never picked the team therefore its no big deal, or if Romanov has only starting interfering as of yesterday. If the latter, then that is a problem.

While it is Romanov's club and he can do pretty much as he wishes, I could never see the same happening at Chelsea who also have a Russian owner!

Hearts- 03-02-2006
Hearts owner Romanov has gone very quiet the last month all of a sudden.
That could be a concern.

I agree that his January signings are gambles, and it may be a concern it is Hibs players who are atteactring big money transfer bids, and no one seems to want any of the Hearts "stars" ?

Gabbarelli- 03-22-2006
And Rix is gone, the soap opera down Gorgie continues! rolleyes.gif

Hearts- 04-10-2006
I still back Hearts owner Romanov to gets things right.

As long as rumours of Berti Vogts returning to these shores remain just that - rumours.

Perish the thought of Berti Hoax at Hearts. <shudder>
