In my eyes Zidane was a hero right up until he lost the plot. He showed his class to have the coolness to chip a penalty in the world cup final, however lost the plot with an outrageous headbutt on Matterazzi. He still however is undoubtly the best player of this generation and his name deserves to be said amongst the likes of pele and maradonna. Its just very sad he had to leave the game on such a bad note and he will now always be remembered for getting sent off in the world cup final.
