I see that yet again World Cup tickets are being offered as prizes.
Tonite McDonalds got in on the act , offering world cup tickets as part of a prize.
I have heard 2/3 other companies advertizing on TV , free World cup tickets as part of a prize.
I thought that Tickets went to each Football Association , not to Commercial companies.
Is this right ?
Are these companies the real football fans?
If these companies are offering a few free tickets , they obviously have a lot more for their exceutives and freeloaders

I'd be surprised if anymore than 50% went to regular fans.
DISGRACE.

I think the companies you're on about sponsor the world cup in some way so get plenty of free tickets...whether the money they bring in outways the fact plenty of genuine footy fans are denied a chance witness first hand such an event is up to individual opinion....for me its criminal!!

Soccer is a business, and business is about money.
That is where sponsorship comes in!
Our American friends will be shaking their heads here. Maybe we just need to accept capitalism?

There was a time when the tickets for Israeli national team were bought by the thousands by the big chains of food stores to later be "thrown in the deal" if costumers bought over a certain amount of goods. So that's how me and my buddies managed to get tickets.
But in any case, I am sure that there should be plenty of tickets available to be bought on the spot. Isn't that so? Had anyone been to France 98? How did it work then?
Does anyone plan on going to Germany this summer?
