I am just thinking about this and it could be a good one, but might be difficult to implement in the software.
Can SESL introduce a youth team league. Divide the 48 clubs in two seperate divisions, lets say A and B. All teams play each other on neutral ground once a season. After each team has played 23 matches the teams enter a playoff to decide who wins the league. The #1 of A and B meet to decide who is the best team around and so on for all the others.
The youth teams should only have age 0 players and they should be awarded 1 SL every 360 minutes played in the youth league. The players in these squads start with Age 0 / SL 1 and can be trained with TP to get much better. This should enable a feeder league for all teams and will have the age 0 players getting matches every week and gaining experience.
The players who reach SL 10 should automaticly be promoted to the senior squad. All players under SL 10 who have age 0 must start in the youth league. This to encourage the development of youth in the league.
What do you think about this and should it be introduced....
I have played in a league where this was handled and it increased the management part of the game. It added spice to the league.

Decent idea, but with some managers not finding spare time to send lineups in when extra Cup games, I cannot see how all 48 could cope with running ANOTHER team, this youth team.
Idea is interesting though, but best make it a standalone league.
Youth players could be auctioned off to main sesl game every season perhaps?

Not all managers have to participate. I think having a youth team setup would be excellent. I have played in another PBEM league(run by Mike Morton) with a youth setup and I loved it. It is something to think about a little more.

this is a brilliant idea.

If a manager doesn't participate, will it hurt that team?
